I graduated from Arizona State University School of Business in 1982 and began my accounting career at a regional firm in Phoenix, Arizona that specialized in the medical industry. In 1987 I became a partner in an accounting firm in Baltimore, Maryland with concentration in closely held companies, family owned businesses, and high net worth taxpayers. In 2001 I became licensed as a "Registered Representative" with Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) series 7 and 66 licenses and the Maryland Insurance Commission licenses in health, life, and annuity sales. I received the personal financial planning equivalent of "Personal Financial Specialist" (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
